I want to go back to Perth (PART ONE)

Just a couple of months back, My partner and I visited Perth for the first time
We were there for 4 nights and it was way too short :(
We visited couple places in Perth and we had so much fun

From amazing dinner to whale watching and lots of other activities!

Our first night (we arrived pretty late), we were starving and was looking for food
We drove around Mount Lawley (where we stayed) and stumbled upon this crowded restaurant
Bivouac Canteen and Bar is a must place to visit for a good food and service
We ordered a little too much and I ended up passing the food to my partner
Bad HABITs!
The weather in Perth was a blessing, we had such a beautiful day cruising around
I had my itinerary with me and we headed to Araluen Botanic Garden
It took us around 40 minutes to get there
With such a beautiful day, We didn't mind how long it took us to drive :)
Along the way to Araluen, we spotted one wild kangaroo (what a beautiful sight)
I thought we would be seeing more but that was it

Araluen is beautiful with tons of roses everywhere
We also spotted duck and ducklings in the pond dipping in the water
How ADORBS!

Things we didn't know, when we arrived end of october there were tons of flies around
It was almost the beginning of summer but the night was still very cold (16degree)
Most of the time especially outside perth city, there were many flies following us everywhere
It was very annoying and I hate flies!
There are many beaches in Perth to visit
Famous one are Scarborough, Frementle, Cottesloe, City Beach and so on
I thought perhaps the famous one are easy to find/go, we would start off with somewhere far
To have itinerary is always a good idea to know what to do the next day
Don't you think?
So we went to Burns beach and it took us about 30 minutes to get there
Traffic in Perth is amazing
Everybody drives in a good phase
No one was ever racing in highway like most asian countries haha!
We enjoyed the sunny day with breezy weather
It was so good I could taste the sea :)
(I WANT TO GO BACK)

Having a car in Perth is a MUST!
Without it, you have no freedom to go wherever you want
Public transport are not as convenient as Sydney
PLUS, cab fare are very expensive!
Just a quick note, do yourself a favor and get a driving license ;)
After a good tour of the day (it was an easy first day)
We went to Must Wine Bar, I made an appointment before we got to Perth tho
We were actually very happy with the food
It was rather $$$$$ but the portion was big (Aussie style/size)
I always ended up passing the food, once again!
Ordered a bottle of red with amazing dessert to share
We ended the night with happy tummy!

On a sunday morning, we got up pretty early to get to Hillary's Harbour
We arrived a tad too early actually :D
I refused to be late so we got up early and waited in the car at the harbour
How silly of me...

Yet another sunny day but the sea was rather choppy :(
The last time we went for such activities was when we were in Sydney
But instead of whale, we had dolphin watch but to our disappointment;
There was no dolphins at all :(
We took Mill's charters to do whale watch because we were guaranteed to see whale!
The watch lasted about 4 hours...
A VERY LONG HOURS INDEED...................!
Our an hour ride to the whale watch, we bumped at a whale carcass (Yes, as seen on TV)
The sea was so choppy that our boat was going side ways... It was terrible
But I wasn't feeling sick (Just yet)
The carcass was smelling so bad; after inspection, we took off again to find live whale
After a long journey trying to spot whales, I started feeling sick....
So sick I wish I could just let it out in the water but I required to do that in a paper bag
Mill's charters provides them, So don't worry!
You had no idea how tiring it was to gaze at the sea for so long with choppy sea...
In the end my body gave up and so I LET IT GO!

I felt little better and we finally spotted mother and baby whale
They were very shy... I wish to see them jumped off the water
Or at least wave to say Hello or goodbyes haha
Well, I guess at that moment I just want to go back to solid ground
I'm not as adventurous as others but I wish I was...
I felt so happy that the trip wasn't a waste of time gazing at the sea and get sea sick
It was worth the sickness haha...

After a crazy boat ride, It was time to just laze at Hillary's Beach with a pack of Sandwich
(Homemade sandwich ;))

To be Continued...

My Muse

Couple months back Cathy came to Singapore to visit his son
My partner :)
She came down to Singapore for almost a month
She's a very carefree person
She told me she would love to get a make over on her face!
I was delighted to help her...

I was not sure whether I'd be any help for her
but it turns out not as bad as what I'd have thought!

I'd say I did an OK job and not over the top too
She's an european with very intense features
It is good to cool it down with the shadings and contours
It magically made her look softer and demure

I did a fun make up for her in Singapore
and I also did one when we were in BALI!
She looked amazing and happy with the outcome

What do you think?
Do you want to be my muse? :D

Graceous Lash Extension

Hello there! It has been awhile... I'm back with some great review for the ladies!

Just 4 weeks ago, I visited Graceous for the first time to check out what is the fuss

Many ladies were talking about the natural looking lashes by the Japanese team

Do note that if you are a first timer, you'll receive a 20% discount

I paid less than SGD110 :)

I am a pretty satisfied customer knowing that I'm in a good hand

Graceous is located at Mohammad Sultan road and it is easy to locate

If you are lost, just use your GPS to track!

When I arrived, there were a number of ladies getting their lashes done

After mine was done (took about less than 2 hours or so), there was another lady waiting

If you ever think about doing this, it is best to make appointment

OK! I'm sure there are many of you would like to know what are the pros and cons

I was very excited to get them in the first place

One thing you need to know is that once you got them, you'll need to pay extra care

REAL GOOD CARE

It took me awhile to get use to the fact that my vision would be different from the usual

The reason why I did lash extension is to reduce using eye shadow to enhance my look

It helped with the lash extension, it made me look natural (don't mind the drawn brows) :)

For the past 4 weeks, I rarely use eye shadows and would just go out with brows and blushes on

I've read that some Bloggers find that the extension doesn't do much

Guess what, I believed that extensions are for less dramatic look in a GOOD WAY

Some says they want more dramatic...

They could have just buy fake lashes and put some mascara on it

I believed that would do the trick

As for extensions, they are not for you to do anything to it

I couldn't imagine some of the ladies would actually put mascara on extensions

Must be a hell of a job to remove the mascara :P

I took care of my extensions very well

Whenever I put on some light/brownish shadows, I would removed it with cotton buds

Don't forget to purchase an oil-free make up remover ;)

Don't forget to comb your lashes ;)

Try to remove excess water (after shower etc) with tissue paper and dab slowly

Avoid touching your lashes for no reasons :D

Am I going back for second round?

Ans: I don't think I would any time soon because they are pretty pricey (Touch-up is SGD100, That's insane)

Ans: It is a pain to take good care of it

Ans: You can't simply just RUB your eyes (I like to do that :))

Ans: You have to watch the way you sleep!

ANYWAYS!!!

Here are some photos from week 1 til week 3+

As you can see they looked pretty good (thank god I have double eyelids)

From the pictures you can tell that I really made efforts to maintain them well to last up to 3+weeks

The last photos from the 3rd collage shows disorganized lashes haha!

At the end of this lashes galore, I was too lazy to groom it

But I had a good time looking at my beautiful eyes for a short period of time :D

Italian Cuisine @ Garibaldi

My partner and I visited amazing experience dining at Garibaldi
It is sure aren't good for the pocket!
But for the portion, it was just the right amount
In the end you weren't too full ;)
Which is an excellent excuse for a delicious dessert!

We were served a free testing (not sure what it is) vegs juice
I asked the waiter and he actually told me but I just couldn't remember it

The waiter recommended to try Brunello di Montalcino red wine

Parma ham with Romagna fried dough
Wagyu beef carpaccio with Wild rocket salad

Tajarin noodle pork ribs ragout
They are delicious but heavy to the stomach

Our favorite Molten lava chocolate cake

Have you been to Garibaldi? if so, how was your experience?

Affinity Yoga - Caroline Kristin and Mitzi (Amazing Teachers)

I've recently joined Affinity Yoga for their one-year membership
The classes are fun and I usually go during "off peak" hour
(When everybody goes off work)
I know the more the merrier but when it gets a bit too crowded,
It can be really irritating!
I went to yoga core once and the woman next to me was very intimidating
I was and still am a newbie

There are poses that requires more space and this woman put her foot on my mat
Imagine you were doing a "push up" pose that requires e.g:
Right leg crossing to left leg (Inward) I know it is difficult to picture it in your mind
Which means you need space to actually place your foot
But the class at Telok Ayer is pretty small that we didn't have that much space for that pose

While doing the push up pose, I had to look down at that woman's foot!
Which I find it really disturbing...
I know I don't need to complain about this situation
Just wondering if it is normal to see such incident.

Affinity @ River Valley are definitely better
Rooms are bigger and there are probably 3 class rooms
While Telok Ayer has only one class room.

The teachers are friendly and my favorites are Caroline, Kristin and Mitzi
I like teacher who are loud (talking wise) and gentle at the same time
Shows you how the poses were done to the newbies
Yoga core teacher (my first time), there were no instruction shown
I was very lost so I had to keep looking at others for the poses
I find it hard to cope and everybody was an expert to it

The 3 women I mentioned above gave really good instructions
Not just by telling you what to do but they carefully showed you
I'm looking forward to their classes again!

I hope you enjoy reading this blog

Namaste
