The Ultimate Christmas Gift

What did you get on a bright christmas day 2 days ago? Did you do anything with the love ones or perhaps with family and friends? How much did you enjoy the celebration? Anything special to share?

My friends and I had a fabulous champagne buffet at Grand Hyatt and it lasted til 10.30pm. With just champagnes, the night wasn't over so everyone head to Martini Bar just right in the building itself. Refused to join the crowd other places, we made a wise choice to just stick around. 

We ended the night at about 12.30am to go home and exchange gifts with my love one. To my surprise, my gift came in a rather smaller box so I assumed it could be a necklace from swarovski because I was teased that it's going to be a "Blue Box". Let alone the "Tiffany" haha. With loads of anticipation in my mind, I saw a print "Samsung". Speechless... 

Yes, I needed a new phone as my Blackberry had been acting weird and slow. I'm now very happy and thankful that I received a Samsung S3 as my Christmas gift.

Christmas nails of mine

Christmas is coming to town! In Asia, we are a head faster so tomorrow night I'll be having my Christmas Eve dinner with my friends and love ones. In order to make it brighter, I had my nails done! What did you do to your nails? ;)

Awesome Spicy Food

Have you tried one hella spicy ramen? I mean amazingly spicy ramen! I'm not really a fan of spicy food but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have one once in awhile. Indonesia is famous for their spicy food and CHILLI!!!

My sister recommended me a place in Surabaya at Ramen 38@Sutos where they served spiciness from level 1-20. 20 being free food if you dare!!! As a beginner like myself, I had only level 1 and trust me, if your no good with spicy, try level 1 or nothing at all. Level 1 is pretty spicy to me and I couldn't finished the soup :'(. I refused to get tummy ache so I'd rather have their awesome ramen. Their ramen is handmade and its very delicious unlike normal "noodle".

If you happened to love spicy food and that you are in Surabaya (Indonesia), don't forget to drop by and have a bite!

Bling and Accessories

I love accessories but I do not own massively insane numbers of them. To me, accessories come and go. You will eventually get tired of one and wish to get a new one.

2 days ago, I bought a bangle and a ring from bling. Little did I know that bling is actually from Singapore and I got mine in Surabaya. Their accessories are affordable with the promotion for 50% second purchase.

Reebok RealFlex Breeze

I don't remember myself as a fit person nor do I go for a good simple work out. As far as I remembered, the last time I had my pair of running shoes was when I was in high school (I was never a runner material). I used to have white with blue stripes sport shoes from Reebok but I didn't know which shoes fitted for casual running. With today's technology, I guess all you need to so is to google for the ideal running shoes!

Yesterday, I got my second pair (of 20+ years of my life) from Reebok as well. I had my eyes on Nike but they didn't have my size anymore. I went to a few shops but without any luck, I picked out something from Reebok RealFlex edition. One of Reebok inexpensive running shoes.

I know many of you professional runners would prefer to recommend a good Asics but I find it a tad expensive for a beginner like me.

Wish me luck as I'll need the encouragement to really be fit from doing a little run. Now, who's up for a little beginner run with me? ;)

Terrible Experience with Facial Laser

Just a few months back (September), As you all know I went to Malaysia for 5 days. One of the purposes to go there was to get my under-eye mole removed. 

The Little Rascals 1994

I don't know how many of you remember her as the 5 years old little girl named Darla in the movie The Little Rascals. I didn't know this movie until last year or probably few years back that I discovered it. Kinda late I know! I was then hooked by it and I'm still hooked! 

I love watching Brittany Ashton Holmes as Darla. She's very adorable that I thought perhaps she's the little sister of Katie Holmes and on second thought, I thought she's mini Natalie Portman. But then I went to google knowing that she's Brittany. 

Apparently she's not doing anything now. Of all the actors in the movie The Little Rascals, Bug hall is the only one that is still out and about. If you could remember, Bug hall is Alfalfa AKA Darla's Boyfriend ;). 

Sometimes I do wonder where are all these cute little actors and actresses from the early 90s. Please bring back the good old movies!!!

Oh boy, there were 20 to view alright and funny thing that this particular one had my full attention! As I clicked forward to the next few hotel but I still think this one is the best out of all.

I didn't know that Amangiri resorts are the same as Aman resort and as I was looking for more information, it also lead me to Aman resort. 

I was actually looking for a job at Aman resort 2 years ago and I met one of the manager. Indeed I fell head over heel at Aman resort.

Did you know that you need to do advance booking with Amangiri in order to actually GET to be one of their guest? Amangiri is located in a desert out of NOWHERE. Sounds creepy? But I'd die to experience staying there! Wouldn't you? C'mon, even Brad pitt and Angelina jolie were there to enjoy their romantic getaway. I guess if you weren't a superstar, you wouldn't be in the top priority list (OH NO). 

Amangiri offers ONLY 34 suites. 13 Desert view suites, 14 Mesa view suites, 1 Terrace suite, 2 Mesa pool suites, 2 Desert pool suites, Girijaala suite and Amangiri suite. It is way awesome that this resorts provides both Air-Conditioning for summer and under-floor heating for the cooler months. It reminded me of the month (march) year 2012 I went to grand canyon and believe it or not, it was at least -3 degree and YES, I was freezing my tootsie out there where the local people were dressing in super comfy and thick jacket and I was with just a normal jacket. They were at least 3 times my size!

Reasons Why Teas Are GOOD For You

I'm a tea lover but I do not have many types of tea nor are they fancy expensive teas. I have caffeine-free and normal black tea. In the morning, I'd make myself a cup of Earl grey, Oolong, Asian white green tea or Orange Pekoe. I usually drink 3 times a day. I consumed more caffeine-free such as Japanese green tea and Fruit herbs infusion. As for the afternoon, I'd go for Asian white green tea by Lipton. 

I've always known that teas are good for our body and health but I'm curious as a cat to why they are good. Recently I found an article tea, health and some goodie good stuff. I hope my research is good enough for you guys to start drinking tea ;). Here are the reasons why you should start now!

My ZoukOut Tickets

Today, I went to Zouk to collect the tickets.

 I'm very excited and yet afraid to get all tired.

I hope there won't be any rain tho because 2 years ago at Zoukout, there was a tiny bit rain but again, it was annoying. 

I can't wait to see Calvin Harris with his amazing tracks and partying with my friends.

Front - Back - Left - Right : PAY ATTENTION!

I don't know if it's something to laugh or to feel pitiful or OH MY GOD! on the water walkway. Just few days ago, I met my friend at scott road as she was doing her manicure. 

On our way back towards orchard road, there was this look-alike-water fountain-walkway. If you did not pay much attention to the road, you'd think it is just a walkway like every ground (if you know what I mean. You'd thought you could put one of your foot a step towards it. 

We saw this lady, she could be either sleepy or playing with her phone too much she didn't pay attention to the road or she wasn't looking at all - whatever her reasons yeah! I was chatting with my friend while walking and we heard a splash so we both looked to the front and saw this lady's foot was in the water!!! Of course everyone was looking... DUH! I mean who wouldn't be able to see the difference between ground w/ or w/t water? Especially one that is so still and never move an inch LOL - I'm teasing you lads -.-'. 

Ok, We didn't mean to be rude or mean or anything. Whoever created that magnificent decoration outside the new mall at scott road. Both my friend and I had a really good laugh and guessing how and why it happened. Whatever it was, it made our day ;). 

Somerhalder or Crawford?

Now Now, WHO'S A FAN??? Girls are drooling over Ian and Chace because of their blue eyes or the similarity of their face? I first watch Chase Crawford's on gossip girls, YES, I think he is hot. Who could resist that blue eyes? But the more I watched gossip girls, the lesser I find him hot. I guess his role in gossip girls are fading away and I find that his role is getting boring. 

I used to think Ian and Chace are both the same guy. You gotta admit they have the same brows and eyes (blue), definitely not the lips because Ian has got a better lips (Sexier)!!!

Last night as I was watching "The rules of attraction - 2002" starring James Van Der Beek, Shannyn Sossamon, Jessica Biel, Kate Bosworth and "Ian Somerhalder". It got me guessing again as to who that would be, Ian or Chace? The thing about Ian, he has a very charming yet sexy stare in his eyes even in the movie. You can tell he's a strong character despite the character being gay. To me, Chace is rather a softie (even in gossip girls -.-'') and has a calmer character.

So, who do you fancy most? Are you a Chase fan or Ian? Who do you think has a better - killer look? I'm definitely IAN SOMERHALDER's fan!

A New Comedy - Mike & Molly

I've spent a lot of time catching up Mike & Molly. A 30 minutes TV series Chuck Lorre production company created by Mark Roberts brings back a good comedy. 

Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell are both an excellent actors with great sense of humor in the show. Along with Katy Mixon (Molly's sister) and Louis Mustillo (Molly's soon to be step father). They are all a memorable actors in the TV show!

Mike and Molly were struggling to lose weight and so they joined the over-eaters support group and there they fancied each other. 

Mike had a hard time asking her out in the beginning and succeeded with the help of a friend. Mike and Molly's journey began from season 1 up to season 3. 

Mike with a funny yet annoying mother were giving a hard time to Molly and Molly was struggling to get a long with her. While Mike was struggling to stay at Molly's because of her mom and sister's quirkiness around the house. 

If you love TV shows like The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, don't miss out on Mike and Molly as they will bring you a whole new world of Comedy!

Breaking Dawn Part II

Today, I finally had the chance to watch Breaking Dawn II. I don't know why people are so crazy over "Twilight" and yet the last saga has a pretty slim rate. IMDB stated 5.9 out of 10, I'd have given a lower point because I don't find it entertaining but I was bored to death.

21 & Above

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, Writers of The Hangover again came up with a young adult comedy in year 2013. I love hangovers but not the second one because the first is always the best!

Nonetheless, they brought up the not so new type of movie, I mean 21 & over is pretty similar to other kind of young adult movies. It reminds me a lot of Project X but less brutality. 

21 & above starring Justin Chon, You may remember him from the famous Twilight and he was the model for Michelle Phan's Midnight Kiss advertisement for Lancome. 

Here's the Synopsis if you are curious to why I'd love this movie ;)

"Straight-A college student Jeff Chang has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey and Miller surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do the unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. Best movie year 2012

 Life of Pi is by far the greatest movie in year 2012

I have to admit that I did not expect so much of the movie

Before I went to the theatre to watch yesterday, I had myself googled for the rating 

It was given an 8.4 on IMDB

I know sometimes IMDB gives an over-rated rating so I wasn't expecting a crazy amazing movie

I realized after watching the movie that It would have been better to read the book first!

I was not too tempted to read the book when I first saw it in Kinokuniya

It is tad sad and not just adventurous life of Pi

With such a beautiful graphics, I wish I was there witnessing it myself!

It likes living in a fantasy world with magnificent sea creatures and other animal kingdom

In my honest opinion, I've never enjoyed a movie as much as I did with Life of Pi. To end your year 2012, for heaven sake what Life of Pi before you starts your 2013!

1973 - The Exorcist

The Exorcist was one of the scariest horror movie in the 1973. I have an over of 1973 page view so far and I decided to find out a topic to write about it. 

If you have not seen the exorcist and a horror lover, it is a MUST movie to watch. I guarantee you'd have your hair stands on end! Some people still thought it is one of the scariest movie ever made. I agreed and there are not many good horror movies these days. 

Come to think of it, I might also re-watch this by myself today.

Today I got myself a Konjac Sponge at Smoochiezz Event (if you followed me and read my first post, you'd know what I'm talking about). I was a curious cat when it comes to beauty product that benefits me. I mean, which girls doesn't want to know about beauty? Don't be silly ;).

Dexter at it's Best!

I started off watching Dexter this year and I had a hard time finishing the episodes. A friend of mine introduced me to dexter and told me how good and that I have to catch it. 

Quality Control Please?

Ok, I love wearing tang top and I have maybe a dozen of them. Forever 21 provides many style and colors in a very affordable price. I decided to get a few more since a few of the one I owned were damaged. I remembered getting one at Straditarius in Jakarta and I didn't check properly, the bottom of my white tank top has a hole :'(. It was depressing to purchase something when you did not check properly.

LESSON LEARNT!!!

My last visit to Penang (Malaysia), I visited Forever 21 and got myself 2 tank top. As you can see from the picture displayed, the strap that was supposed to be attached actually came off! FYI, It is brand new and of course I wasn't too happy about it. I get that it's not an expensive but that doesn't mean I should be OK with the outcome of a 15 bucks top. 

H&M has a fairly good affordable tops with plenty of colors and styles to choose. I still shop at Forever 21 regardless of the handwork-error. Just hoping that they will improve better in sewing them tops!

Sweetness Over-Dose!

I'm a sweet tooth woman who loves getting down for chocolates. Once I had a sweetness over-dose at Max Brenner and I was very sick I couldn't walk home. Sweet over-dose did not stopped me from visiting Max Brenner and have their chocolate galore again. 

ANTM College Edition Winner is...?

What do you think about Laura being the first winner of ANTM College Edition? I used to like Laura when her biggest competitor (Leila) was eliminated. I thought she's beautiful with her blonde hair-do. But I still am clueless to why Laura is the ANTM College Edition 2012. It is beyond unfair!

Taiwanese Dessert in Malaysia!

Dessert is everyone's favorite dish of the day. Without desserts, your meal would be incomplete. What do you know about Taiwanese desserts? 

Dessert comes in 2 types. Hot and Cold! European and American dessert comes in 2 types as well but the difference between Asian is that we love chewy texture and not too sweet while the Euro and US are the opposite. 

Meet Fresh serves a delicious desserts. The squares are Taro, Grass Jelly and Chewy Pearl (made out of flour). It comes in Hot and Cold! It was my first time experiencing meet fresh and I must say, it was a good one. They are located at 

 Paragon and Gurney Plaza (next to each other).

Malaysia Delicacy

One of Penang delicacy is the famous flat rice noodle called "Char Kway Teow". It is stir fried commonly with dark soya sauce, chilli, prawn, bean sprouts, eggs and other stuff.

Bear in mind that char kway teow is very heavy and oily which simplify as unhealthy food but if you had the chance to visit penang, spare a time to try. 

Gelish Manicure & Classic Pedicure

I had so much time to kill today after lunch and My sister and I decided to go for a good pampering time. Well pamper doesn't mean spa or anything like that ;). We went for a good nails treatment! 

It has been quite sometime I hadn't had my nails done especially manicure because I had a bad cuticles that was over-worked when I studied in school as a beauty therapist. I had it done for a year everyday in school so you can imagine how bad it does to my nails :(. 

 The nail shop called Devilish Nail Salon. It is a cozy and serene place to do nails comes in 2 comfort chairs and 2 tables for manicure. The nail therapists are very friendly and fun to talk to! As far as I know, that's the most important service anywhere. Lucky us, we didn't have to wait for our turn and it took us at least 2 hours and 30 mins to get everything done. My classic pedicure wasn't as brilliant as my gelish manicure. But overall, I love the place and service. Affordable Shoes!

Yesterday, My sister and I went for a mini shopping in Penang. Instead of clothes shopping, I went for Shoe-shopping. One affordable shoe brand called "Vincci" made in Malaysia. Vincci is now having a 20% off on the second pair. I spent Normal price RM160 (RM79.90 each) and after discount I paid only RM142+. Not much but it's nice. 

I love my new pairs. It wasn't easy to find a perfect unique shoes until I found this flat shoes with nice design and the price was alright. I don't see many out there so I decided to get it ;). It comes in 2 color but the other one (for my size) was out of stock so I had to get the black one instead. 

The wedge came in as the new arrival. I didn't see it as I was too busy trying on other wedges and coincidentally, I saw a lady holding it and thought it might be nice on me. Voila... with 3 color layers! It comes in 3 shades, black, beige and I forgot the other color. Check out Vincci if you are ever in Malaysia!

Say NO to Shark Finning!

Did you know that killing sharks for their fins are cruel and inhumanity? Did you know that as soon as they cut off the fins, they tossed them back to the sea and let them suffer through the deep cold sea while they are still alive? Did you know that they couldn't swim anymore and that they would be starved to death? Did you know it happens every thousand times in everyday? 

How could anybody do such a thing to the poor living creature? They attacked! YEAH! Human attacks too but you don't see them being killed for no reason. 

Sharks are cut due to their quality of the fins to make soup and there's not just FIN that they are after but their skin, teeth and jaws. To make leather goods, jewelry, souvenirs and many more.

Sharks are being depleted faster than they can reproduce and it threatens the stability of marine ecosystems around the world. For those who cares for the lives of these poor creature, raise your voice and share them with your friends and family. Check out Kubu Marine Park on Facebook. It is a non-profit organization! I hope shark finning will soon be prohibited and banned world wide! I recently watched a video on youtube and that it shows in New Zealand, Shark finning are legal! Let's hope for sharks survival again...

Like it or NOT?!

OH NO!!! What happened to my favorite south African actress Charlize Theron? What happened to her hair? She has been one of my favorite actress of all time in the movie North Country, Devil's Advocate and not to forget, the most memorable movie "Monster" with Christina Ricci. 

To see my favorite actress with a bizarre hair cut gives me the creep. I mean if it was a nice hair cut that looks good on her, why not? but almost shaved leaving only at least 2cm ain't cool at all. Furthermore, its dark color... Charlize is well known for her blonde beauty. I personally dislike the new change for her new movie "Mad Max: Fury Road". Because of her enthusiastic attitude, that's why she has always been a great actress with great role in the movies. That reminds me of her terribly wrong-look in the movie Monster. 

Oh well, I guess we will have to WAIT extremely long for her hair to grow back to the way it was before.

Ideas for Christmas

What's old and new this year? Christmas is around the corner! Have you prepared gifts for your love ones? I may also be one of the bunch who hasn't prepared anything yet. How unlucky of me. I'm a lady with very little things but bigger in mind :D.

Aniston and Theroux

Brad and Jennifer used to be the greatest couple until Angelina came into his life and ruined everything. Nobody wants to be a home wrecker because you'd be known as the B**** who stole my husband. 

On the brighter side, Jennifer is now living her beautiful life with her charming new beau. They have been dating for more than a year and he popped the question. She said "YES"!

Justin Theroux, you may have remembered him from Charlie's Angels : Full Throttle as the bad boy named "Seamus O'Grady". He's an actor, writer and director. I'm sure Jennifer and Justin will make a great couple!

On the other hand, it was rumored that Justin invited Brad to their wedding which means Angelina too will be there. According to the news, Justin likes Brad so he has no issue to invite him besides, he knew Jennifer talks occasionally with Brad. Aw... don't we just love Justin for being so understanding and sweet ;).

I can't wait to see Jennifer's wedding dress. Which designer is going to design her dress? And what shoes is she going to wear???

Perhaps One Private Jet?

Sometimes it is hard to be a celebrity. Especially if they are an icon! Recently, David Beckham was pretty mad when he took a flight with British Airways came a big fan and apparently, she's an air hostess. 

While Beck was sleeping, she took a picture of Becks and it got him awake because of the flash from her camera. Therefore, Becks was pretty mad about that! It's really tough for celebrity as hot as Becks to have his privacy even when he's asleep. Becks should have own a jet for himself sponsored by British Airways. I mean since "he has a good relations with BA" why not owning one private jet? 

Well Becks, why don't you own one like every other celebrities? ;)

BREAKING-UP for real, NOT!!!

I know that I'm supposed to be having a lot of fun in Penang but the heck! I love to look out for the gossips, love affairs, politics and YOU NAME IT! 

Justin and Selena

I couldn't help but to check out what's up with Bieber and Gomez. I'm not a big fan of the duo so to Bieb's and Gomz's lover, I don't mean to B**** about them but dang it! They are 20 and 18 FFS! I think fame gets them crazeee!! I remembered when I was their age, we had proper fun like normal teenagers. But what I see in the duo, they are like an adult having a nice dinner in fancy restaurant, spending like adult celebrities yada yada... 

After a fight, Bieb's followed her home and she refused to let him in. Gomez, if you had enough of biebs, get a freaking restraining order. 

So, question is... when are they breaking up for real? I've seen a lot of negative news about them and it has been like weeks and they are still trying to patch things up. Bieb's, you are a pretty boy and Gomez, you are a pretty girl. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Why stick to each other for the sake of Paparazzi? Go make some real music and stop all the drama PLEASE!!!

Flying over the Rainbow

To be back in Penang (Malaysia) is like  going back to the past. I used to live my life in Penang for almost 10 years, practically grew up here for that long. What's great about this little island is not the beach but the food. And when I say "Food"I mean food that doesn't cost you a bomb! The Hype about Dance and Music

Everybody's talking about dance music festival. Greatest DJs are spinning by the beach in Sentosa, Singapore. To me, it's more celebrating the end of year 2012. People party hard and they get sick the day after. 

I remembered my zoukout night 2 years ago and it was MASSIVE! There were David Guetta (people's favorite french DJ), Tiesto (famous dutch DJ and record producer) and Afrojack (a 25 years old dutch DJ and producer). It was also the time of the year that attracted 30,000 partygoers in year 2010 zoukout. Who wouldn't want to watch Guetta in action?

This year line-ups are Above and Beyond (apparently they were spinning before in year 2008), Major Lazer, Calvin Harris (feel so close), Kaskade (I remember with deadmau5), Paul Van Dyke (I'm excited to see PVD) and many more great foreign DJs and Local DJs. 

I'm looking forward to this event and I hope I wont be as exhausted as before. Believe it or not, I was sick for a week after zoukout 2010. Weak? I know! So, keep yourself hydrated at all time! Olala, Nocturnal Emission...

How much do you know about Nocturnal Emission?  The word Nocturnal basically means "at night" and Emission is "to release". If you get the idea what I'm going to write, you are a quick one. Yes Yes, I'm talking about those days when we wet our underwear and thought it could be you peeing on the bed but apparently not. Some people usually call it liquid dream or better yet, wet dream.

The Pros and Cons of Walking

I'm not much of an "Exercise" individual. I don't go to the gym tho I love yoga. The idea of paying hundreds and thousands for classes giving me doubts to even be a member or either one of them. I used to join classes and fitness centre. Just in my opinion and experiences, fitness centre gives expensive package to those who doesn't know how to negotiate and it was a darn bad day for them when I joined (it didn't happen in Singapore). They tried to sell me crazy package but with my sleek move, I did some research before I went to sign up. I got what I wanted and he was surprised that I know so much. Come to think of it, I'd stick to "Walking". 

Walking in Singapore is GOOD! You can walk during the day and night. I always thought to myself and often tell my friends that walking is good for you and your health. But I doubt anyone would buy that because they'd rather take taxi to go home instead of walking (after a long day of shopping). Bear in mind that when I say walk, it means walk with flats (something comfortable) and not heels!

Basically, you can't really lose weight with walking method. But base on my research, it might boost you up a little! A little is better than nothing. So here we go!

The New Drugs!

Are there such thing as Female Viagra? Recent hype cracked open and is now in clinical trials in Australia, US and Canada. So, what's interesting? Female viagra aka testosterone treatment called "Tefina" helps to enhance blood flow to the genitals. Tefina forms in gel droplets and absorbed into the body through the nose. It does not just help to enchance blood flow but also increase in sexual desire, increase arousal and ability to reach orgasm. Interesting yea?

What Human Would Consider DOING!!!

I would understand if people did plastic surgery to make themselves look better. When I say "Better" it means GOOD not to the extreme that you'd come out to look like a living dead doll! I came across an interesting yet disturbing video of a man they called "Human Ken Doll". When there's Ken, there's always Barbie! She's a mother and they called her "Barbie Wannabe".
